Griffin Small Business Consulting Services is a human resources consulting company providing business advisement services to small businesses.  Partnering with small businesses facing company growth and ensuring an understanding of compliance and planning needs so business leaders can focus on production and customer service.

Why “Griffin”?  Not only is it my last name, but a griffin is a mythical creature that symbolizes courage, leadership, and strength.  These are all things that are needed when owning a small business.


I am Joanie Griffin, and I'm here to assist your small business in successful growth so that you're able to concentrate on the things you love about why you're in business!  My experience and passion for human resources can fill the gaps you may have found that are missing in your growth.

My Experiences with Small Businesses:

I served as Executive Director of Main Street of Menomonie (non-profit) from 2011 - 2014. I enjoyed working daily with over 100 downtown businesses while discussing small business successes and concerns, planning events that encouraged community participation, assisting in training and understanding various social media platforms, and more.  During this time, I received a chamber award and Certificate of Commendation from the Governor, recognizing my contributions to raising the visibility of downtown businesses by organizing events and recruiting volunteers to keep the area looking great.

My work experience includes working in small businesses within multiple industries: professional (real estate, architecture and engineering), manufacturing, and retail.  Additionally, I have worked in health care and higher education. 

I enjoy supporting small businesses on a regular basis and considering the impact of issues they face that are out of their control, such as pandemics, construction, societal changes, workforce changes, etc.
